Branding

Ayanna Michelle LLC

In 2020, at the age of 17, I launched my first freelance makeup business, building a personal brand centered on creativity and professional artistry. Through strategic use of social media, I grew my online presence from 100 views per video to an average of 1,000 views, and gained 500 new Instagram followers by 2023. Two of my early videos went viral, reaching 13,000–17,000 views each. Through consistent content creation and audience engagement, I built a strong reputation from the ground up, leveraging social media as a tool for brand growth and professional credibility.

Pretty N' Gold

As Co-President of a student-led organization at UNC Charlotte, I was tasked with revitalizing the group through a strategic communications approach, focusing on brand identity, consistent messaging, and audience engagement to drive growth and visibility. In this role, I rebranded the organization by updating the logo, implementing new operational plans, rules, and regulations, hosting events, and securing grants totaling over $1,000 to fund programming.

In addition to leadership duties, I served as Creative Director, creating choreography, producing visual content, and managing photography and videography to generate materials that supported engagement and brand growth. I also proactively created opportunities for organizational activity, such as conceptualizing and executing creative video shoots.

Included in this collection are organizational plans, event proposals, and execution documents that demonstrate the strategies and initiatives I implemented to successfully revitalize the organization.

Kias Kulture

During the semester, I developed a fictional brand, Kia’s Kulture, as part of a public relations writing course. I created a variety of documents and identified brand opportunities, applying PR strategies in a practical context. This project allowed me to strengthen my writing skills while gaining hands-on experience in brand development and strategic communication.
